Namco Bandai have announced that a new downloadable title, Invincible Tiger: The Legend Of Tao Han, is headed to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade. Despite the name the screenshots (like the one above) do not feature tigers and according to a Namco Bandai representative the game doesn’t either. The game is said to feature “over the top combat” for one or two players as you battle against undead ninjas. I think undead ninjas make up for the lack of tigers, although I could be wrong. This one looks pretty cool, watch this space for more info.

Earlier today, when Capcom unveiled their new “Wii Channel” for NXE they let a nice tidbit of info slip. Their highly anticipated downloadable remake of Street Fighter II will be coming on the 26th of November for Xbox 360. This means we should see the game on the 27th. Then again, PSN got Mega Man 9 early didn’t it? Will Capcom release it a week early? That’s tomorrow people! It’d be nice to see, but I doubt it.

[Update] – The game will be released on the PlayStation Store on November 25th (a day before it’s 360 release). Capcom are also releasing a free downloadable hip hop soundtrack for the game, ‘Street Fighter Underground Remix’. The soundtrack will feature artists such as DJ QBert and Redman. Capcom has also teased a “little” something also coming to PS3 owners this winter, isn’t it exciting.

[Another Update] – The game will be priced at $14.99

PS3 Fanboy have provided us with an update to the often delayed HD remake of the classic fighter ‘Street Fighter II’. An email sent to Fanboy, Tim NG says that:

“it’s actually on its way to XBLA and PSN very soon,”

It’s promising, and I can’t wait for the game but it was announced way back in April 2007, shouldn’t it be done by now?

Along with the excuse Tim also sent the guys a bunch of new screens for the game, which have reignited my desire to play it. Click here for more screens courtesy of PS3Fanboy.com

Despite Capcom’s pirate themed strategy game coming to XBLA this week it was missing from the PSN Store. That’s because, like everything else, it’s been delayed. It appears that the game has been delayed until November. Capcom have commented on the game’s delay in their blog:

“We want to ensure the online experience for PSN users is as smooth, fun, and addicting. We also want to ensure all those who dive into the map editor and generate new content for the Age of Booty community have a great time sharing their maps with friends. As a result, we had a little more work to do.”

Capcom also re-confirmed that the game would be patched for trophies. Saying they’ll be available “within the first couple of months”.

I don’t know what to make of the game personally, but it seems to be getting pretty good press so it can’t be too bad.

Oh how we love the ESRB and the ammount of early information they provide. This time the American ratings board have rated a new Marvel Vs. Capcom game for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. I presume that the game will be downloadable from the PS Store (and XBLA) when it comes out. The ESRB has been pretty helpful (and accurate) with their leaks thus far. Hopefully it stays that way.

GEON: Emotion is an XBLA exclusive (not for long) puzzle title that according to the ESRB is headed to the PlayStation Network. From what i’ve read and heard, the gameplay of GEON is not dissimilar to PacMan and sees you collecting pellets, or emotes, on a two sided grid. The aim of the game is to collect enough emotes to charge your cube then to score a point by landing in the center of your opponesnts side of the grid. You can choose your emotion before the match which determines which power ups have the best effect on you. It sounds complicated, but it looks cool. Hit the jump for a video of the XBLA version.

Braid Coming To PS3? by Anthony Barlow

Braid has really excited the games press and although I have seen very little I have to agree it does look cool. Imagine a cross between Donkey Kong on the NES and Prince Of Persia: Sands Of Time. Yeah, it’s hard to imagine but check out the video above and see what you think.

Earlier this week Jonothan Blow developer of the XBLA title has nor ruled out a PS3 version, which could come at a later date after Microsofts exclusivity deal expires.

It would be nice, I think it’d be more suited to the PSN as it has more of an audience for quirky titles like Braid. It has been well recieved by the preess but I don’t think that the 360 audience has taken to it too well and the $15 price point might be putting many people not used to spending 1200 spacebucks on a game.
