The first piece of BioShock ‘exclusive’ downloadable content is coming to the PS Store on November 20th. 2K’s erie underwater shooter BioShock recently got released on Sony’s console to much acclaim. This DLC was announced shortly before the game was announced and, although they could have included these on the disc, I think it’s great 2K want to support the PS3 with these ‘rooms’. Hit the jump for the details. Continue reading

It was revealed earlier today that the downloadable Ratchet & Clank game, Quest For Booty, would be 2.3 Gigabytes. This might seem like a lot but bear in mind it’s only an Episode of Quore and a demo or two so it shouldn’t bee too much of a problem.

Remember, the game lauches worldwide on August 21st for $14.99. I can’t wait!

Well I wanted something good outta Sony this week but I guess this’ll have to do. The European store this weak was crap and, although there’s more content on the U.S. store it’s still a pretty mediocre week for Sony. Well here you go a list of stuff you (mostly) won’t wanna download this week.

  • Quore: Episode 3  -$2.99
  • Talkman Travel (Paris, Rome & Tokyo) (PSP) $5.99 each
  • PlayStation Home Theme – Free!
  • Snakeball Team Mode Add-On – $1.99
  • NASCAR 09 Skin Pack 1, 2, 3 – $2.49 each
  • NASCAR 09 Montreal Track – $3.99
  • Cruefest Pack 2 (Rock Band DLC) – $2.99 or $0.99 per track
  • ‘B.Y.O.B.’ – System Of A Down (Rock Band DLC) – $1.99
  • ‘Toxicity’ – System Of A Down (Rock Band DLC) – $1.99
  • Interscope Track Pack (GHIII DLC) – $6.25
  • PlayStation Home E3 Trailer
  • Tomb Raider: Underworld Teaser Trailer – Free!
  • The Last Guy Behind The Scenes Trailer – Free!
  • AST Dew Tour Videos (x4) – Free!
  • Madden NFL 09 Adaptability Trailer – Free!
  • Madden NFL 09 E3 Trailer – Free!
  • Madden NFL 09 20th Anniversary Trailer – Free!
  • TNA iMPACT! Head To Head Trailer – Free!
  • Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Release Trailer – Free!
  • Dead Space Animated Comic Issue #4 – Free!
  • Dead Space Dev Diary #5 – Free!
  • Tomb Raider; Underworld Wallpaper – Free!
  • Disgaea 3: Absence Of Justice Wallpapers (x 3) – Free!

Like I said, a mediocre week all round. There’s a few interesting trailers here but nothing too much to excite people (well me at least). I want to reiterate that we do have Bionic Commando: Rearmed coming next week though so that’ll be good.

I’ve decided it takes the U.S. guys too long to get their act together, so from now on the weekly PS Store update will be split between the two regions. Well after that short intro, let’s move on to one of the worst weeks for content i’ve seen since buying my PS3 (May 2007). Not much to take anyones fancy here really, shame. Ah well, we’ve got ‘Bionic Commando: Rearmed’ next week.

  • Secret Agent Clank PSP Demo – Free!
  • Civilization Revolution Wonders & Artefact Pack: The Mythic – £0.69
  • Interscope Track Pack (GHIII Add-On Pack) – £3.99
  • Dead Space – Loved Ones Trailer – Free!
  • Movement: Milan Part 2 – Free!

Like I said, it’s slim pickings this week. I guess the Civ Rev pack is cool (and cheap) for those who’ve got that but other than that it’s a pretty godawful week over on Europe’s PS Store. Let’s hope the US has got something better.

PS Store/PSN Get’s Daily Updates This Week by Anthony Barlow

That’s pretty cool of Sony to give us PS3 owners daily content updates on the PSN. i’m thinking it’ll be trailers and stuff (with a main update on Thursday) but I could be wrong. I won’t be doing daily updates but I will do a mass update after this week, it’s just easier.

Here’s hoping for Elephunk but I don’t think it’ll hit before Thursday at the least to be honest. Either way it’s cool that Sony want to give fans a week of content during the biggest week of the games industry’s year.

Echochrome & Elephunk Delayed For Europe by Anthony Barlow

This was reported last week but it’s one of the few things I didn’t get around to, well now I have. Black and white puzzler Echochrome was meant to appear on the PS Store in Europe last week but was, for an unknown reason, delayed. With this being the week of 2.40 could it be that Sony’s puzzler is getting trophy support added to the EU version (with the US version being patched o’course). Hopefully this is the case Echochrome trophies would be cool. I already have an American version of the game but for those who are yet to purchase it’ll be up on the PS Store this week (hopefully).

Secondly the next game to be delayed was another anticipated title from the PSN, Elephunk. This was meant to be hitting Europe this coming Thursday but has been delayed hopefully to add trophy support to the Lemmings-esque game. This game does intrigue me and I’ll be looking at picking it up if it does appear.
