In a recent Q&A with 1Up, Quantic Dream’s David Cage sat down and talked about their upcoming, story heavy game Heavy Rain. It was thought the game would utilise Sony’s SixAxis controls in some way, but Cage has now confirmed that they will be used for violent interactions within the environment or when talking to people within the world. Although SixAxis will be used, the face buttons will be used during PAR (quick time event) sequences. Hit the jump for more.

Cage reconfirmed that the game is indeed a purely offline, single player game but did hint that downloadable content could be used to add to the experience.

“The game will support the Trophy system and may offer some kind of extra content online, but Heavy Rain is a single-player experience.”
