The first question that entered my head upon hearing what was going to be available for Rock Band next week was “What the hell is up with Harmonix?”. It seems like they might, hopefully for one week only, be aiming for a younger/more emo audience. You’ll see what I mean when you hit the jump.

  • “Are You Dead Yet” — Children of Bodom
  • “Tutto E’ Possibile” — Finley
  • “Hay Poco Rock N Roll” — Platero y Tu
  • “Tempted” — Squeeze
  • “Ready, Set, Go” — Tokio Hotel
  • “Real World” — The All-American Rejects
  • “Body I Occupy” — Naked Brothers Band
  • “I Don’t Want to Go to School” — Naked Brothers Band
  • “Headphones On” — Miranda Cosgrove

Each track will be $0.99 for one month and then $1.99 thereafter, excluding The Naked Brothers Band whose tracks will be permanently $0.99 and Miranda Cosgrove’s track which is free.

Harmonix have ventured into the world of emo and Nickelodeon all at the same time, how strange. I hope to god they buck their ideas up for next week.

When are we going to see some good stuff? Especially from the likes of the Kings Of Leon, Green Day, Queen etc. I haven’t even heard of the majority of tracks Harmonix release. They need more mainstream tracks before I consider spending anymore money on this game, especially as the song’s are dearer than on iTunes. Plus some more UK specific content would be nice.

I heard we may be getting some No Doubt next week. If so it’s a step in the right direction.
