Namco Bandai announced that the PlayStation 3 port of Eternal Sonata would be coming to North America on October 21st (along with everything else), but didn’t announce a date for Europe. Well, now they have. A year and four months after Eternal Sonata hit European 360’s the game will finally appear on PS3 in Februrary 2009. Hit the jump for more.

It is said that the game is more than a port of the 360 version and adds some new features to the game for those who want to double-dip on the Chopin themed JRPG. The PS3 version will add two new characters: Crescendo and Serenade, some new costumes as well as aditions to the soundtrack from Frederic Chopin (obviously).

I played the demo a few days back and personally, I was impressed. Sure it isn’t the most complex of games and the random battles are a little tedious but I think if it’s a budget game I might give it a go. I don’t think there’s enough there for 360 owners to buy it twice though.
