Sony have announced what they’re going to be bringing to this years Tokyo Game Show and, to be honest, it’s less than awe inspiring. As per usual there’ll be a lot of older games on display but we’re hoping for a few nice surprises from Sony and other key developers. Hit the jump for the list of games announced.

  • Guitar Hero Legend of Rock
  • Fifa 09 World Class Soccer
  • Street Fighter IV
  • Resident Evil 5
  • Lumines Supernova
  • Metal Gear Online
  • Way of the Samurai 3
  • Sonic World Adventure
  • SOCOM: Confrontation
  • PlayStation Home
  • Mainichi Issho
  • Motorstorm 2: Pacific Rift
  • LittleBigPlanet
  • Resistance 2
  • WWE 2009 Smackdown vs. Raw
  • Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2
  • Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm

Unannounced Games

  • 1 from Irem
  • 1 from Konami
  • 9 from SCEJ

Like I said, there’s a few older games (Guitar Hero III, Mainichi Issho) as well as some new unreleased titles like Street Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5. We also have news that R-Type devs, Irem, will be bringing something new to the show and Sony Computer Entertainment Japan are bringing NINE unnanounced titles. Konami will be back with something previously unnanounced (Metal Gear Existence maybe?) so that’ll be nice to see.

I’m hoping for a good show for Sony. Microsoft outsold everyone in Japan with their various RPG bundles but you know Japan hates the 360 really.

XeNonX will be covering all of the key stuff, Sony side, from TGS this year so we’re hoping it’s gonna be a really good show.
