After a recent rumor that North American retailer Best Buy was getting pre-paid PSN cards in their stores Sony have now confirmed that the rumor was in fact, well, fact and that some other stores will be getting them too. Sony have said that, come October, gamers will be able to purchase PSN cards from Walmart, Best Buy and some Sam’s Club stores.

This is good news for importers who want the prices on eBay to drop (it’s about £17 for a $20 card). Plus i’ll be able to pick them up when i’m in NY in January.

Hopefully this is the start of the mass rollout and they’ll be availalbe everywhere soon.
