The ‘Weighted Companion Cube’ or WCC was a big hit when Valve added the plush toy to their online store. The thing sold out in no time at all and ended up going on eBay for a hell of a lot more. But does Valve now have a competitor in the gaming plushies market? Hit the jump for more.

Everybody thought that it was coming and sure enough here it is, the Sackboy plush toy. Japanese online Taito have announced that they are now taking pre-orders on the toy, which is expected to ship in December of this year.

Customers have two sizes of the toy to choose from. First of all, there’s the 4 inch Sackboy which is sort of like a keyring thing, The second (and most likely to sell) is the 10 inch version of Media Molecule’s mascot. The toys will be shipping at $12 and $23 respectively. They are also apparently coming to North America too so i’ll be keeping a watchful eye out any development in the world of plush Sackboys. I’m thinking they should’ve been a pre-order bonus really, but that wouldn’t make as much money would it.
