John Koller, Director of Hardware Marketing Has Recently Posted on the Official Sony Playstation Blog About Concerns over the Battery Life Of The Recently Announced PSP Model [PSP-3000] Which is due to Have Amongst A Few Other Nifty Features, a Greatly Enhanced Backlight and Screen for a more Portable Friendly Unit.Koller States “Although the brighter, more vivid screen does draw more power, Sony’s engineers have worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system including its components, so you won’t have to worry about losing any time when enjoying the more vibrant visuals displayed with the new PSP.”
Although This Comment does Reassure That The New Screen and Backlight Wont Effect The Current Battery Life of The New Model, Their is at this time No Reason to Believe that The PSP-3000 Will Provide any additional playtime then that of the Current PSP Model-2000.
