A recent post on Media Molecule’s Flikr page seems to have revealed what the company expect to add to the game in the coming weeks and months. The picture above shows some kind of board which contains details of upcoming expansions to LittleBigPlanet. Those mentioned include the ‘Arcade Pack’ and something named ‘2000 BC’ both of which have TBC next to them. Other things mentioned are ‘legal’ (photo importing perhaps) and a patch which is said to bring “new creative capabilities”. Hopefully this wasn’t just a tease from MM. God how we love you and the ever expanding LittleBigPlanet.

So we knew Old Snake would be making his way into LittleBigPlanet soon enough but it looks like he’ll be joined by some friends (and well one foe). Sometime in the future, it seems players of LittleBigPlanet will be able to download a Costume Pack featuring four characters from Konami’s hugely popular (and my favourite) series. The pack includes:
- Old Snake
- Meryl Silverburgh
- Screaming Mantis
- Raiden
Pretty cool right? Alongside this pack will be a Level Kit, which will presumably give you stickers, items and whatnot. There’s been no pricing or date announced for these yet, but keep your eyes peeled, the image above comes from the Hong Kong LittleBigPlanet site so they can’t be far away. Looking at the Street Fighter Costume Pack i’d say the costumes will be around £4.79 and the Level Kit around £2.39

Ah, how we love Media Molecule and all that they do. Earlier this week we showed you the latest free costume for LittleBigPlanet and alluded to some more festive DLC. Well, thanks to the good people at the PlayStation Blog, we now know what else MM are delivering this coming Thursday. Not only are we getting the second part of the Santa suit costume and the first part (presumably) of the Christmas Tree costume MM will be providing a festive themed ‘level pack’. Hit the jump for more.

I guess I was wrong when I said that Media Molecule were splitting up the Santa Suit costume, as they had nothing for next week. This latest news comes from the Japanese LittleBigPlanet website. The site shows a Sackboy wrapped in, well, wrapping paper with a price tag of 300 yen. Next to that is the second festive themed Sackboy (above). I’m assuming that SackTree (as I have dubbed him) will be the free DLC alongside the second part of the Santa Suit. I’m assuming that the SackTree will have a second part, it only makes sense.
We’ll update you with news on the paid for DLC as it comes in.

Here’s your free costume for LBP this week. As you might expect, because of the time of the year, it’s Christmas themed. You can download a Santa costume for Sackboy from the PS Store today. It’s festive and free!
PAIN players will also notice that a crimbo themed version of Ed will be available to them today. How nice of all these people spreading free Christmas cheer.

Okay, I might have been a week out but the Street Fighter themed costumes for LittleBigPlanet are making their way onto the PlayStation Store this Thursday for $5.99. The pack includes Ryu, Guile, Chun-Li and Zangeif.
Cool DLC, we definitely need more like this.

I just thought i’d let everyone know that import website Play Asia have got stock of the Japanese Sackboy plush toys that were announced a few months ago. There are four available (Pirate, Solider, Normal and Sunflower – all above) and retail at around $9.90. I’m sure there’ll be people clamoring for these, I wonder when they’ll get released in the U.S. and Europe?

Media Molecule have announced the new costumes coming to LittleBigPlanet in next week’s PlayStation Store update. They have announced that characters from Capcom’s Street Fighter series will be making appearances as costumes next week. It seems like the Capcom/Sony marketing machine is in full effect and personally…I like it.
Definitely a worthwile addition to the LBP universe. I’m still waiting on Old Snake though MM.

Just a quick heads up to let you know that Media Molecule have released the version 1.04 patch for LittleBigPlanet. The 11mb patch adds the following:
- Using Undo in Creator mode requires a network call
- Gluing can be un-glued from the ground
Not too much, but it’s nice to see MM fixing things for the fans. I guess we’re one step closer to a major patch now then. Good ol’ MM looking out for us LittleBigPlaneteers

Media Molecule have announced this weeks downloadable content for LittleBigPlanet. Once again, the content comes in both paid-for and free flavours. The free costume is another user created one from the ‘LittleBigChallenge’ competitions MM was running prior to the release of the game. Said costume is made up of an old style television and remote control (image after the jump). Also coming this week is a whole batch of LocoRoco themed costumes. You can definitely see some resemblance to the Roco’s, but they’re not as good as they could’ve been, the bracelets are cool though. You’ll be able to get the free costume and the Roco ones on Thursday 20th November, the paid-for costumes will be available in a pack for $2.99. Hit the jump for the free costume image.
