How Much Is Too Much?

PS3 Fanboy have got a poll on their site asking readers how much would they be willing to pay for the recently announced PS3 Keypad. Amazon.com currently have the keypad down for $50 (about £30) which I think is too much. I’d definitely be willing to pay around £20 for the thing but £30 is almost as much as the controller, which is a little steep.

Of course Amazon’s price could just be a placeholder. I’ve included a link to the PS3 Fanboy poll here.

First Firmware 2.50 Details Leak Out

There’s always a bit of a fuss when some details about a new Firmware update form the PS3 leak out. Details about Firmware 2.50, or rather a detail, has come to light today. Apparently with the new firmware, people will be able to do screengrabs during games and save the images directly to the XMB. The feature probably won’t be used too much, but could be used for grabbing images of glitches and such during games (e.g. ghost players in FIFA and COD4 glicthes).

No ideas when this firmware is dropping but with ‘Life With PlayStation’ coming this month too (apparently) it can’t be too far away.

The image above was found earlier today on Curve Studios website. Their new game ‘Play Factory’ will deliver 6 PlayStation Eye based minigames is likely to be similar to the original EyeToy’s ‘EyeToy Play’ games. There’s no more details on the game as of yet but it’s nice to see that Sony is going to support the PS Eye. Hopefully these games will be better than the screensavers that are on the store now, although Aqua Vita is nice to look at.

IGN are giving their readers a chance to vote for the boxart which will appear on the ‘Collectors Edition’ of Resistance 2.There seems to be a clear favourite (the one above) and the other two seem a bit like crappy mock ups. Not only that but there seems to be some new info topping the boxart ‘Only On PlayStation’ and ‘PlayStation Network’. I’d definitely like to see this on more games in the near future. Hit the jump to see what Ted Price had to say and more.
