I tried the demo for ‘The Last Guy’ and I have to say, it was fun. The concept seemed a little weird and quirky and didn’t really sound like my kinda game but Hindustan have surprised me. I’m actually a little excited about the game now, especially if we get to play in Manchester.
Anyway, earlier this week the game was priced and dated for America. The game will be released next week (August 28th) on the PlayStation Store for $9.99, which is half of what the Japanese have got to pay! The game is also being released in Japan on the 28th for what I can assume is the Yen equivalent of $19.99.
The fact that Sony are rolling this out in Japan and America on the same day gives me a little hope that the game will be released worldwide next week, it’s unlikely though. Maybe they’ll pull a Capcom and put it up a day later (a la Bionic Commando).
We’ll have to wait and see won’t we.

I was surprised to see that Killzone 2 didn’t have a cooperative campaign mode especially with the latest Call Of Duty having it. Well it has now been confirmed that Killzone 2 will be patched with co-op after the game is released next Feburary. It has not been confirmed if the co-op would be online or offline (or both), but here’s hoping it’s gonna be online (I can’t be doing with split screen).
Secondly it has been confirmed that players will be able to fill out online or offline games with A.I. bots. Said bots will be fully customizable.
Thirdly, the vehicles are currently only available in single player but this is another thing that Guerilla are going to be patching. Vehicles will be patched into the multiplayer after release. There are no further details on this but I will post them as I get them.
Guerrilla has a history of providing free downloadable content to gamers so it is likely that all of the content above will be free. Not only that but it looks promising for any future, unnanounced DLC we’re likely to see.
Stay tuned folks for more on the topics above as we get it.

GEON: Emotion is an XBLA exclusive (not for long) puzzle title that according to the ESRB is headed to the PlayStation Network. From what i’ve read and heard, the gameplay of GEON is not dissimilar to PacMan and sees you collecting pellets, or emotes, on a two sided grid. The aim of the game is to collect enough emotes to charge your cube then to score a point by landing in the center of your opponesnts side of the grid. You can choose your emotion before the match which determines which power ups have the best effect on you. It sounds complicated, but it looks cool. Hit the jump for a video of the XBLA version.
