In a bit of blu-ray movie news, IGN have picked up on a comment made by a certain Peter Jackson that,
“We are working on a Blu-ray version of the LOTR trilogy with Warner Bros at the moment, not sure when it is due for release. It certainly won’t be this year.”
So next question for fans no doubt will be yes but which versions of the films? If I was to be cynical for a moment I would expect the theatrical versions first, with the extended full monty versions at a later date, probably just in time for Christmas.

The downloadable Ratchet & Clank: Quest For Booty hits the PSN this week and seems to be getting quite a positive reaction from the games press which is nice. The game recieved the score of ‘Decent’ on IGN with reviewer Jeremy Dunham giving it a 7.4.
The game is out on August 21st in both Europe and America and will be priced at a reasonable £10 (15 Euros for the rest of Europe).
I’ve been waiting for this Ratchet title since it was included in that leaked list of upcoming PSN content. I really liked ‘Tools Of Destruction’ and although this title is more puzzle based, 3-4 hours of gameplay for a tenner it can’t be bad.
I’ll try and put some impressions up later in the week.
