The ‘Unexpected’ SCIV DLC Rumors Cometh.

It was inevitable that as soon as Soul Calibur IV hit shelves the rumors would start flying in about the ‘exclusive’ characters Darth Vader and Yoda coming as downloadable content for Xbox 360 and PS3 respectively.

As you can see we do have a ’screenshot’ of Vader and Yoda together in the game. This could obviously have been faked but my question is, what’s the point of faking it?

Anyway it’s unlikely this is fake. If they didn’t release the characters as DLC it’d be like burning money.

There has also been a video (below) showing the aforementioned characters fighting in the game. Still not proof but come on, really how is this not conformation?

As always i’ll keep you posted.

Wipeout HD Delayed So They Can Add Stuff

Wipeout HD has been delayed. There were some rumors going around that the reason was due to it failing epilepsy tests or having crappy online play. Now Sony have come out and revealed the ‘true’ reason behind the delay.

The reason for the delay of WipEout HD on PS3 has been due to the many improvements we have been making and the numerous features we’ve added to the game. These include: 8 reverse tracks, 4 extra ships, 2 alternative HUDS, 2 Player offline split screen and XMB Trophy support. We look forward to sharing WipEout HD with you very soon.

Regarding the speculation about health issues, we can assure you that we take consumer safety very seriously and monitor it very carefully.

Obviously that last paragraph still doesn’t rule out the epilepsy test problems but that first one seems like it could be worth the wait. Whoot more trophies!

Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 “Sooner Than You Think”

Now this is obviously rumor and IGN more than confirms this but the guys did stumble upon something rather interesting. First of all, you have to believe that Marvel want to do something, if not anything, to put up against, the seemingly very popular, DC Universe Online.

When asked about another possible iteration of the Marvel Vs. Capcom fighter franchise Kevin Freige, Marvel Studios President Of Production, said “Yes. And maybe sooner than you think”

The IGN story goes on to say that there is a title under production in Japan that could provide the base for this game, which could make it a hell of a lot easier to make.

I personally would love to see another Marvel Vs. Capcom. It’d be better than something like DC Vs. Mortal Kombat…oh hang on.

More news on this as it comes.
