Capcom think hearding animals is obviously fun so they’ve made a game about it. Flock is one of Capcom’s new PSN, XBLA and PC games. It looks sorta cool and reminds me (from the screens at least) of PixelJunk Monsters, which is obviously very cool but looks very Lemmings-esque too.
Basically the premise behind the game is that you are a bunch of aliens trying to heard farm animals into your ship. Once again making the game sound very much like an adaptation of Lemmings, albeit a cool one.

GametTrailers have gotten an exclusive first gameplay trailer of the very highly anticipated (by me especially) Rock Band 2. The game dosen’t look much different from the original Rock Band although I can see a few visual tweaks. The video does feature a very cool sounding Foo Fighters song (of which I can’t remember the name). Still extremely excited for this game and want some stuff to get shown/announced at E3.
Have a look at said video here.

Yeah if you didn’t see my rant on the over hyping of the Madden soundtrack (and series in general) then you will know that I wasn’t very happy (obviously, that’s why it was a rant!) about all the talking up the soundtrack got and get’s every year.
Well it has been confirmed that the soundtrack for Madden NFL 09 will be appearing, in small doses each week, as Rock Band Downloadable content. Now this is a good and a bad thing. The good part is that there will be some new and pretty cool songs available for download in Rock Band. The bad part of this is that it looks like EA might start to farm out all sorts of shit from their soundtracks into Rock Band and stop better stuff coming out.
I’m all for new content but if EA does the latter I for one won’t be too impressed (unless they start getting some kickass songs in their soundtracks!).
This quote comees from Reuters:
Under the deal, “Rock Band” will feature music from the “Madden 09″ soundtrack in its weekly downloadable songs update, a handful at a time, over several weeks, with each song carrying the “Madden” brand. Additionally, each soundtrack song will be available for sale via iTunes as part of a special “Madden” playlist.
For those who missed it (or didn’t click to link to the rant post) here’s the tracklist again:
Airbourne – Stand Up For Rock N Roll
Busta Rhymes feat. Linkin Park – We Made It
Disturbed – Inside The Fire
Franz Ferdinand – Lucid Dreams
From First To Last – Worlds Away
Gym Class Heroes – Im Home
Hollywood Undead – Undead
In Flames – The Mirrors Truth
Innerpartysystem – Dont Stop
Izza Kizza – Millionaire
KNAAN – ABCs
Kardinal Offishall feat. Lindo P – Burnt
Kidz In The Hall – Blackout
KOVAS – Wax On, Wax Off
Mindless Self Indulgence – Never Wanted To Dance
Rev Theory – Hell Yeah
Senses Fail – Wolves At The Door
Shinedown – Devour
The All-American Rejects – The Real World (Demo)
The Fashion – Like Knives
The Offspring – Hammerhead
Trivium – Into The Mouth Of
We March
Tyga – Diamond Life
Underoath – Desperate Times, Desperate Measures
Wale feat. Southeast Slim – Breakdown
Young Dre The Truth feat. Good Charlotte – Workin
Some of this is cool and some of it is a bit meh. The Franz Ferdinand track could be cool and i’d actually quite like to see how the Busta Rhymes & Linkin Park track works because that’s a cool song and obviously not much of a rock song (rap in Rock Band?). I can see it turning out quite well for fans especially if they put them up at $0.99.
I personally think i’ll be downloading the Franz Ferdinand and Busta Rhymes tracks first but will check out the others in the Rock Band in-game store.
Filed under: Gaming Rumors | Tags: Console MMO?, KOTOR MMO, LucasArts, PC, PS3, Star Wars, Trademarks, Xbox 360?

So LucasArts has filed some new trademarks all of them Star Wars ones. They could potentially be names of Knights Of The Old Republic 3. Obviously the new Bioware developed MMO is the rumor that keeps cropping up and all of these next names could be potential names for such a game.
The trademarks filed were:
- Star Wars The Old Republic
- The Old Republic
- Star Wars Sagas
- Star Wars Legends
These obviously all sound like decent pretty cool names for a Star Wars MMO and all are described as “video game software” and “entertainment services provided provided by on-line by means of global and local area networks”. I hope that a KOTOR MMO does come out eventually it’d be something i’d be really excited about and something i’d play on my PC (or perhaps console?)
It looks like a rumor for now but could be something really cool announced at E3.
Filed under: Gaming News | Tags: Midway, PS3, The Wheelman, Vin Diesel, Xbox 360?

The Wheelman. Otherwise known as that game with Vin Diesel that occasionally crops up once in a while. Well, it’s been around a bit over the past few months so it looks like it should be out soon (right?). So today developers Midway have released some new screens which actually look pretty cool.
The screens have been described, by none other than Midway themselves, as “breathtaking” (talk about tooting your own horn!). The game will be playable at E3 next week so here’s hoping for some new details but for now it’s an ok looking Driver clone starring Vin Diesel. Let’s hope something will change my mind.
You can see the other screens over at Kotaku.

It was sorta described yesterday and now it’s here. Well, the first look at least. Now here’s what the Rock Band 2 premium ‘Ion’ drum kit will look like. I’ve just started drumming so this is a little bit outta my league (and price range – It’s $300!). It does look great but obviously for (metaphorically or litterally speaking) expert drummers.
Thanks to Kotaku for the pic.

I loved the original game (never bought it, borrowed it though) and apparently Sony have announced (somewhere) that there’s a sequel coming before the end of this year. How i didn’t get hold of this earlier I don’t know, what I do know is that if it’s as cool and as fun as the original it’ll be sweet!
PATA-PATA-PATA-PWNED! (Sorry).
Lovin’ that Patapon 300 Pic.
[Update] – Apparently the new Patapon was announced in Famitsu along with the LocoRoco sequel. I only saw the news (and 1up translation) about LocoRoco otherwise you (and I) would’ve known sooner.

After the Famitsu ‘announcement’ yesterday today Sony has delivered some new screens of the LocoRoco sequel (the aptly named LocoRoco 2). The screens show that the games does indeed seem to follow the same formula as the original and personally I like the look of it. I’m even more tempted now to go and pick up the original.
Check out the others over at Kotaku.
Yeah last week was an early one, this weeks is a late one. I’ve got an amazing array of games to play over the summer and some of ‘em have cropped up this week. Most of the regulars are here but there are some new additions. Here goes nothing.
- Batttlefield: Bad Company (PS3) - Not played too much of the single player yet but have been playing multiplayer pretty much all day and i’ve got to say it’s £29 well spent! Not too much to report as i’ve been playing only a few hours but what i’ve played seems cool if not a tad laggy.
- Rock Band (PS3) – The old favourite has shifted up a little since last week and is still going strong. I still rate it as the best party/multiplayer game on the market even if you have to import (PS3 at least) to play it. The new RHCP tracks came out yesterday and they’re sweet! Picked up those and the Cruefest pack today and they’re really good fun. I’ve been testing the water on the drumming front and i’ve got to say it’s really cool. Will be playing that a lot more now (solo drum tour!).
- Burnout Paradise (PS3) – The wanderer (or rather, the traded in) returns and with a new patch. Don’t remember why I traded this in it’s so cool. The new custom soundtrack feature is really good plus it looks like they’ve done a lot of additions on other fronts too. Can’t wait for the next upadte hopefully it’ll add trophies!
- Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3) – Played this for ages last night and with Ad a bit worse for wear (a bit pissed you could say) it was hilarious. Sniping people across the map with Mr. Mister’s ‘Broken Wings’ playing in my headphones was an experience everyone should have. Still the best FPS out there and will probably last longer than Battlefield: Bad Company does.
- Super Stardust HD (PSN/PS3) – It’s the only trophy supporting game at the moment so I guess it’ll have to do. Still haven’t gotten em all yet but i’m definitely still trying but with all of these other games to play it’ll be a push.
- Everybody’s Golf: World Tour (PS3) – The premiere golf game on the PS3 in my opinion. Great fun and it murders EA’s Tiger Woods franchise. It might look kiddy but it’s probably one of the best sports games the PS3 has and that’s saying something. I’m progressing through the ‘challenge mode’ to try and get me some stuff before challenging the others online.
So that’s it for this weeks ‘WGDYG?’. There’s a hell of a lot of games there and with me having ages off now it shouldn’t be hard to find some new additions to the list.
