Yeah so it’s only seven little days until I, like many others, get my hands on GTA. I’m back in college in college now so postings will be a little less frequent but as the week ticks down i’ll try and post daily. So let me recap the last two days.
21st April 2008
Back in college today after a very nice break. After spending a few meager hours doing work in college I was off back home ready to chill out and as per usual play some games. Was more than looking forward to playing the MGSO Beta but as it was postponed I played some Euro 2008 online. Which, although it was a little laggy, was really good even if I did get beat in every game. Didn’t do much as I was really knackered I did watch some of the 1st season of ‘Lost’ but that was about it.

Now for today. Well at this precise moment i’m sat in college and meant to be working and listening to Lupe Fiasco (one of the few rappers I like). Started to read books because I’m so bored of the wait between now and next Tuesday. Currently reading ‘I Am Legend’ by Richard Matheson. Reading seems to pass the time quite well. Feeling I should have brought my PSP and used remote play to play some Pixel Junk Monsters. I’ll probably play some Euro 2008 and finish off the 1st disc of ‘Lost’ season 1 tonight.
That’s it for now. I really can’t wait for GTA now. I should have my two copies on Tuesday and will be sending someone out on an errand to take one to be traded in. Got to pay for my special edition tomorrow (£69.99) and my standard one on Sunday (£36.99). I’m paying a lot of money but it’s worth it really as I’ll probably get about £30 back when I trade a copy in anyway.
The highly anticipated map pack for Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is to be released on the European and U.S. stores on Thursday which will be followed by a double XP weekend. Looks like Infinity Ward will be raking in the dosh once again. Shame I can’t buy it because, like i seem to be repeating a lot, i’ve got no money until next month. Oh well i’ll have to leave it. Might give COD4 another good go over the double XP weekend though.
A bit of a personal post here but it has got a point. I ordered ‘I Am Legend’ on blu-ray from Amazon.com the other day and it was posted on 16th April. What I want to know is. Why does it take Amazon so bloody long to get me a blu-ray? I could’ve ordered it the other day for about £2 more from HMV than I paid for it but no I have to wait until the end of May, which really is crap. The other thing is i’ve paid for it already so I can’t even go and get it then sell the other one when it turns up.
Oh well I guess it’s sods law really. I wanted something cheaper and it turned out only marginally cheaper and i’ve got to wait an age. Another thing I can’t do before GTA comes out now

Yeah, like everything this week, WGDYG? has been delayed until now. I had to do some actual work this week (college) so my gaming time was cut short but here’s the games I gamed this week.
- UEFA Euro 2008 – I played this for a fair bit since the last WGDYG? and everytime I play it it seems to get better than FIFA. To me this seems like the FIFA 09 beta in a way. It has less teams and some of the game modes aren’t perfected but if it carries on this way EA could rule the video game footy scene once again.
- Rock Band – Got me some new tracks so Rock Band is now interesting again. Playing ‘Still Alive’ and some other stuff really is funny with a few mates. You gotta love it.
- Super Stardust HD – A bit of a casual one to finish off. Thought about downloading the new add-on but decided against it due to lack of funds and the fact I haven’t played the original that much so I decided to give it a go again, and it’s great. The PSN might have less games than XBLA but it certainly has some of the best between the two systems.

Sony have announced that the closed beta for Home will now carry on throughout summer with new people being invited to join. Apparently following the close of the closed beta the open beta will follow in the autumn.

Home was originally slated for release in October 2007 and was pushed back to Spring 2008. Sony better get their arses in gear and get Home open already!
Yeah, sadly the MGSO Beta has gone the way of the dodo, for now at least. Konami have said that the beta has been posponed due to their servers crashing due to high activity (duh!) but ’should’ re-open on Friday. Let’s see how many people are playing by Tuesday though.
