I’ve had the game a good few hours now and I’ve decided i’ll share my findings with the rest of you. First of all let me say this game is great; if you like FIFA & PES you’ll love this. Here are my feelings.
LOVE:
- Updated Graphics
- Overall Smooth Gameplay
- Smooth Animation
- Amount Of Game Modes
- All The Fully Licensed European National Teams
- User controlled celebrations
HATE
- Small frame drops on set pieces and crosses
- Outdated managers on sidelines (i.e. McLaren – England)
- Innacurate player ratings
- Game speed is too fast (i’ll check settings)
Like i’ve said I love the game but there are a few things that could’ve been better. It’s still a must buy for footy fans though.

Well, that brightened up my last few days off a bit. ‘Still Alive’ (performed by GLaDOS at the end of Portal) was released for Rock Band in the latest PS Store update. I know a lot of people who read this know how annoyed I was when this was announced for the week the PS Store began it’s transformation and I am now really GLaD (sorry) that I had to wait because the store looks great and it gives me another thing to be doing before GTA.
After trading in ‘The Orange Box’ for the PS3 a few months back I’m GLaD (sorry, again) that I can get Portal on it’s own for the PC for about £15 which is well worth the money. Will pick it up next pay day.

Yeah the Playstation Store got updated today for the 1st time since the update. This week had a nice bit of content on both sides of the Atlantic of course I got what I could from both stores.

So we got a lot of content from the U.S. Store, the most prominent being GT5: Prologue. A lot of trailers featured here showcasing the new Warhawk DLC and Seth Rogen’s new movie Pineapple Express. Also shown were trailers for This Is Vegas and HAZE.
I can’t understand why the UEFA Euro 2008 Demo was released outside E.U. territories but it’s something new.
As for Rock Band Still Alive was by far the best content today and possibly so far. New DLC included Blondie, The Police and Bang Camaro. I only got Still Alive and Message In A Bottle but will be checking the others out later.
[UPDATE] - I just listened to the Bang Camaro track and the Lynyrd Skynyrd one on YouTube and got them too.
Yep, according to Take-Two GTA IV has gone gold and will be on route to retailers very soon. The game’s out in 11 days (April 29th) and is out for PS3 and 360 simultaneously. Pandemonium guaranteed!
“No not another ‘New Feature’”! I hear you cry. “They’re always crap and are kept for about a week”. Well this one is pretty bloody beneficial to PS3 owners. XeNonX will now feature the PS Store’s updates each Thursday. I was gonna start this earlier but held off for the new store. Anyway the store updates will probably go live on the blog at the same time just depending on when the content itself goes live. I look forward to this feature as one which is good and not crap as the others might well be.

The best gaming day (for me at least) between now and GTA with a whole host of crazy crap to play I don’t know how i’m gonna get to write about it all, but I will.
First up. I checked the, newly updated, PS Store today and found some nice new content for some of my favorite games. We got a new add-on pack for Warhawk (as did the U.S.). Operation Broken Mirror launched today and although i’m yet to download it (lack of funds) but will do as Warhawk is cool and new content is always good. Alongside that both the EU and US got a new add-on pack for Super Stardust HD which adds some cool features but is another one i’m yet to download. For the full list from both stores check out my new feature to be announced shortly.
Today’s best new content is the MGS Online BETA which hit the EU store for free and for anyone, unlike the US. After finding that a rather slow downloading patch was needed I set it aside for later on (it’s just finished now) and played Euro 2008.
Yep I finished Dark Sector last night around midnight (as was said in last night’s/yesterday morning’s post) and took it back to my not so local gaming outlet where, after a few hours of waiting for a delivery, I picked up UEFA Euro 2008 on the PS3. I’m having an awesome time with it so far and will be posting my early impressions soon. This will definitely tide me over until GTA for which i’m extremely happy as I have run out of dosh, but will have it for the release of GTA.
So guys, the possible pinacle of the wait comes on the 12th day. Is it all downhill from here? Can I survive without spending until May? All will be reveled soon enough, but for now this is the XeNonX GTA Countdown for 17th April 2008, I’ve been Barmelo and I’m out.
