So what i stole the title of this feature from the IGN “Three Red Lights” Podcast team (I love those guys). Anyway I just wanted a cool title for this segment and I stole it from the best
.
This week the games i’ve been gaming are:
- Rock Band – No explanation needed here (but i’ll give one anyway for those living under a rock). This game is the best it’s the ultimate music game in my opinion and completely kills Guitar Hero III in every way. Just a shame I couldn’t get “Still Alive” this week.
- Everybody’s Golf: World Tour (Hot Shots Golf: Out Of Bounds) – Another really cool game. It might look easy on the eye but this ain’t no kids game. The golf is better than the best of EA’s Tiger Wood’s series and the almost anime look to it all looks really sweet on the PS3.
- Pixel Junk Monsters – Didn’t get into this game at first but it’s definitely grown on me. It’s simplistic style makes it look like a game for a casual audience but it’s underlying need for strategy will put off the casual gamers. I’ve stuck with it and although i’m terrible at it and fail the easiest of levels I keep coming back to it.
- Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – A friend of mine loves this game and plays it everytime he’s at my house and with no good action games until I drum up the cash for ‘Dark Sector’ I jumped online and immediately fell in love with it again, although it did take a little getting used too. The feature patch has definitely improved it can’t wait for the map packs!
So that’s it for this weeks “What Games Do You Game”. Feel free to tell me your selection in the comments box.
Yes the Call Of Duty 4 map pack has gone live on the Xbox 360 but PS3 owners (like me) will have to wait a few weeks before getting some nice new maps for arguably the best multiplayer game on consoles.
I’d embed the video from www.gametrailers.com but sadly i’m stupid and don’t know how to embed the video from there into the blog.

Now I never played the 1st ‘Saints Row’ as I have never owned an Xbox 360 (I know blasphemy) but I always really liked the look of the game. Anyway THQ have announced that the game has a street date of 26th August (both PS3 & 360), a nice few months away from GTA IV.
I’m actually quite looking forward to this game as not only does it look sweet but has co-op story/campaign mode so I can get some ‘gangsta’ action going on with some mates.

Yeah well last week was meant to be the start of the blog’s new item ‘Trading Thursday’, the item which tells you the readers what I got and got rid of that week. TT’s debut was delayed last week as I had to go and film an interview with Manchester punk band Pendleton, who in the end did not show up. Not good and I was pretty pissed off but oh well ‘Trading Thursday’ will debut this week and ATM the candidates are.
- Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas 2 – Ubisoft’s latest offering did not impress. It’s really disjointed story didn’t help, even though I did finish it twice. I have played some of the online versus modes but thought it was too much like it’s predecessor and it will be traded in this Thursday.
- Army Of Two – Although EA’s offering is better than Kane & Lynch it really is no worth replaying, and yes I have tried. Army Of Two was great in online co-op campaign and was pretty fresh and new and playing alongside a human character rather than A.I. was great. It just isn’t worth replaying and thats why it’s going on Thursday.
- Uncharted: Drakes Fortune – This was one of the best games of last year and is definitely one of the best experiences available on the PS3. Having finished it a few months ago I just feel it’s right to pass it on. (That sounded really stupid).
- Timeshift – I got this game as a ‘gift’ and is still sealed and having looked at reviews it isn’t very good so this is a must trade-in for me.
Well at the moment that’s it for ‘Trading Thursday’ there might be a few of my old PS2 games in there and maybe some Gamecube games too but those four are the bulk of the deal and will be going towards my new iPod.
